Many Inches of Fat

No, that is not me, but I do still have alot of fat still on me. All the fat will not go away, unless I stick to my diet and get to my goal weight. Though 135 is my goal weight right now, I will have to get there first to know how much more I will need to lose.

I am hoping that when I get home, that it will not be raining, because my body is craving a really good walk!!!

I have a high school reunion at my house on Saturday, so eating and drinking is going to be hard. I will give it my best shot though!! I know that on Monday, I will start my 13 day diet!!!!

Rain Rain Go Away...

Here is an excuse... blah blah blah

It has been raining like crazy since yesterday and the streets and the mood have not been set up for my usual walking. It sucks!! Then when I don't exercise correctly, everything else goes downhill.

Today it will be raining when I get home, but after I organize my home somewhat, I will do my tv DVD, and I will also make it a point to cook correctly. I have all the right intentions, but I need to follow through!!!

I have to keep saying this to myself!

Enough is Enough!!! I really have to stick to my plan. I really have to stop deviating. I really have to start listening to what I say to myself. I really have to do this right now!!

I will not eat pass dinner tonight!!
I will eat only what I have planned!!

It is early in the week, and if I do good, I will be a happy camper next Monday. I have choices to make and I better make them right!!!

I AM NOT ON MAINTENANCE, so the plan must continue!!!!

I gotta kick myself in the ass to wake my mind up!! shit ...lol

Today's Weigh In: 143 lbs
Weight Loss This Week: - 2.1 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 27 lbs
Goal Weight: 135 lbs

Do you see that red font...THAT is a WEIGHT GAIN!!! shit lol .... WhY??? Well, its simple, I ate too much, I drank too much and I didn't have time for all my exercise!!!! A perfect recipe for disaster!!!
What do you do when this happens? You buckle down, get back to basics and stay on a straight line!!! NO MORE deviations !!

The pictures above are some dinners that I had made... A shrimp pizza and a Cottage cheese Lasagna.....BOTH were delicious!!!

This week, I am cutting back on the Carbs and the sweets!!! It is time to hit that 139!!!

Lookout Weekend, Here I Come!

Yesterday, we went out to eat at Outback's for Herman's birthday. I did pretty good. I will post pictures later.

I need to really do my exercise and eat right, if I plan on hitting the 139 mark!! aghhhh it ain't easy lol. I have a party tomorrow night, so that will be another challenge! I really really need to get into the 130's!!!!

Happy Birthday to Herman

Today we are going out to dinner for some coal fire pizza. I will try to just eat one slice with a diet drink. I am stuffed right now, because of the big salad that I just ate, so that should help control me.

How do you lend a helping hand to someone that is in need of losing weight? Talk about a tricky question! I believe that you cannot help anyone, unless they want to help themselves. I guess you can provide motivation and inspiration and maybe that will be the push they need to get started.

Sometimes I wonder if I have helped anyone with their weight loss? I'll never know, because I know that many people read this, but they don't take the time to leave a comment. That's ok, because this blog has helped ME tremendously!!! At the end of it all, weight loss is a personal, individual thing that one must do for themselves. It's all up to you, it is your choice.

Walking Schedule


I was measuring my walking route and will now be doing a new schedule. On Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays, I will walk the short route....3 miles, about 50-55 minute walk. On Wednesday and Fridays, I will walk the long route of 4.5 miles, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. On Saturdays and Sundays, I will walk the long walk in the morning and the short one in the evening. On weekends, I want to do some biking also.

I need to start doing crunches more consistently, so I will start doing 50 crunches daily.

By mid October, I want to begin going to the gym at work. I need to start doing some weight resistance.

So that is the schedule that I want to keep till the end of the year. For the new year, we will come up with something new.

Weigh In and Weekend Update

Today's Weigh In: 140.9 lbs
Weight Loss this Week = 1 lb
Total Weight Loss: 29.1 lbs
Goal Weight: 135 lbs

Ok, so I gave it all I got and didn't make it to 139, but at least I lost a pound. I guess what they say is true, about the closer that you get to your goal weight, the slower the pounds come off. Maybe I need to lower my goal weight hahaha.

Well, now that I think about it....I did have Ada at the house from Sunday to Wednesday, and we did have some big dinners. I also had one social lunch, which was Thai food and I kept it light.

So the goal this week is to push to see 139!!! I REALLY want to get there!!!!! This week I have 2 lunches to go out to, one birthday dinner and one party. I will exercise everyday and stick to the plan as best as possible!!

Do you realize?

Do you realize that there are 6 weeks before Halloween?

Where do you see yourself for those holidays in terms of your body weight?

I will tell you where I see myself...I see myself at GOAL WEIGHT!!! I do not want to be strict dieting during the holidays. I want to eat at parties and not feel guilty. I want to be on a maintenance plan during the holidays. So, for this to happen, I MUST sacrifice NOW!!! I have to make this happen now, so that I can enjoy the holidays, the way I plan.

Social Settings

Do social settings keep you from your set plan? I thought I had an easy week coming and things changed. Ada, Herman's sister, came on her boat and is staying until Wednesday. She came on Monday and is celebrating her birthday! We are having a great time, but the food department is not easy...and luckily, Ada is also on Weight Watchers and is being very careful. I still made it a point to do my walking, but I have had to eat a few more points, because the food is way too good!!!

Tomorrow, I will post a picture of the fish dinner that we ate last night....deeeelicious!!!

These are the times when you have to be strong and not just give in because it has gotten difficult.

Ok, so I am back to where I was 2 weeks ago. What a waste of two weeks!!!!!! Shit!!! Even if you lose a little each week, it eventually adds up, but the gaining must not happen again. I have been lingering way too long and now I MUST FIGHT hard to reach my next goal of 139. There is NO reason not to reach that goal by next Monday. The only thing that can stop me is ME and that WILL NOT happen.

I am going to try to walk my LONG walk every day this week.

This was a short week, thank God! Now it is time to prepare for the weekend.
This Saturday, I have a birthday dinner and the rest of the time is mine. That means that I will have time to exercise. I will walk one hour thirty minutes tonight. Tomorrow and Sunday, I will wake up early, take a long walk and in the evenings, I will take an hour walk. I will be fighting to weigh in at 141.5 on Monday.

Stay tuned till Monday to see if I can really do it.

Finally!



I finally replaced my old grill with a new one!!! yaaaaaaaaaay!! I grill practically everyday, so having a crappy bbq was driving me crazy. You need to have the right tools to do the job right!!!

I plan on grilling some chicken today and I can't wait to start her up!

Was there some sort of mistake?


Was a mistake made when they barely gave salads any calories and loaded up the ice cream with tons of calories? How about chocolate, can you imagine if broccoli had alot of calories and chocolate had none? Why did this happen? I wonder if carrots had a bunch of calories, would we want it as much as a piece of pie? I think our best bet is to truly enjoy the healthy foods and treat ourselves to the fatty foods once in a while and in small portions. It is our only hope, because if you want to maintain a healthy weight, fried food is not going to be your friend!

This was a crappy weekend of eating. It is so much harder to stick to your diet when people are around you!! I still managed to do all my walking, but the eating department was a little too busy. Oh well, I am not gonna beat myself up about it. I had alot of good lobster, that I enjoyed!! Luckily lobster is only 1 point for 2 ounces.

I am back on track today and will look forward to next week's weigh in.

Long Weekend Ahead!!!


Not only is it Friday, but it's a long Labor Day weekend and I have Monday off!!!

Weekends like this are hard. It is more difficult to stick to your plan and make the time to exercise. You must be committed and not let anything stop you. Come Tuesday morning, you want to get on that scale and be happy with the numbers that you are seeing.

I did some groceries already of some healthy stuff, so that should help somewhat! Who doesn't like fresh fruits all cut up and ready to go?

Life Exists!!



Today is a very very special day in my life. Today I heard for the very first time, my grandchild's heartbeat and I saw my grandchild inside Nancy's belly!!! This is the true meaning of Love at First Sight. You always dream of this moment, but when it actually happens, it is truly a miracle. May God always bless this child with all the hope, dreams, love,health and happiness. I know that Nancy and Harold will be amazing, loving parents!!! Herman and I are going to be GRAND-PARENTS!!!! too cool!!

So this is another reason to continue to lose weight and exercise. I am going to need tons of energy to keep up with my little grandchild. I'm gonna be a hottie for a grandma!! lol

Sweat

You know what makes me sweat like crazy.....landscaping. Any kind of yardwork, makes me sweat so much, that I drench my clothing in sweat lol When you are pulling weeds, you are working your legs and your arms. Another good thing, other than the exercise and the sweat is that when you are done, you have accomplished something for your home. So next time you are bored of whatever exercise you have been doing, then go landscape or wash your car, or clean your house, or organize a closet...IT'S ALL EXERCISE!!!
