It's been up and down for a couple weeks. Though I have been sticking to plan, it has been difficult to get out of the 140s. I am eating right and being active, but no movement on the scale.<br />

With Thanksgiving coming up on Thursday, I am curious to see what the scale does. I don't plan on pigging out. I will eat as if it was a normal day. I don't want to back track now at all. I want to see 139 on the scale, by the end of the month!!!<br />

No work on Thursday or Friday, so its a great time to be a little more active than usual.<br />

So after a couple of days in Orlando, a party on Sunday and a dinner on Sunday night, I still managed to lose one pound. Win!!!<br />

We walked a half marathon on Friday at Hollywood Studio and EPCOT. You are so entertained that you don't even notice how much walking you actually do!!!<br />

Now remember each weigh in, is a separate week. I believe that last week I had a drop in scale after the Weigh In Team Meeting, so slowly but surely I am getting closer to my goal.</span><br />

Slowly but surely! Two tenths of a pound...hopefully its water retention and I get a weight drop in the next couple of days. I am aiming towards a 4-5 pound lost on a monthly basis. So though it is a slow process, at least it is working and remember that I want to make this a lifestyle change!<br />

During the parties, I was in control. I tasted everything that I wanted in small portions and I had a great time, so the weekend was a success.<br />

Wednesday will be the next group weigh in and I want a 2 pound loss!!! I want to do some walking today and tomorrow and continue eating right.<br />

Today was Weight Watchers and I did not lose a pound, I lost a pound and a half!!!! I feel great that between my three weigh ins, I am losing consistently on each one!!!!<br />
<br />
I used to get mad when I wouldn't lose 3-4 pounds per week, but looking at what one pound looks like, it will always remind me that no matter what you lose, that you are headed in the right direction. A loss is a loss and I will be damn proud of it!<br />

Next weigh in is on Monday for the Blog......I have 2 parties this weekend, so I must stay focused!!<br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Patience is needed while you are on a journey of weight loss. It won't happen overnight and sometimes when you think things should be happening, they just might not. Patience will pull you through.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">I just spent 2 weeks, barely losing anything, but eating right, and then finally today, I had a drop. yaaaaaay!!! I just had to be patient as I eat healthy.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Yesterday, I had my group weigh in and all it showed was a .2 weight loss after 2 weeks. That wasn't much after eating so good. What you lose in a month, is more important than what happens in a week or so. I know that I am eating right, and I will just continue this until I reach goal weight! And while I do this, I will have lots of patience!!!</span><br />

Ok, so I didn't show a weight loss this week, but I have been doing great! I hope the scale just drops overnight lol. I think I need to start doing some exercise. I did clean up my garage, so I can access my treadmill and I brought in the mat to do floor exercise while I watch tv. I feel so much better and thinner, so I won't get too mad at that scale. I know I am being healthy and that is what is most important. The scale will eventually catch up lol<br />

Wednesday is our group weigh in, so one pound must be lost before then, or else I must pay $5. lol Hell NO. lol<br />

Chicken Fajita Soup<br />

2 big Chicken Breast on bone<br />
<br />
1 Lg can of Chicken Broth<br />
<br />
1 Potato, cubed<br />
<br />
1 cup shredded carrots<br />
<br />
1 Medium onion, chopped<br />
<br />
1 can of black beans<br />
<br />
2 garlic cloves<br />
<br />
3-4 celery stalks<br />
<br />
2 bay leaves<br />
<br />
2 Packages of Ortega Taco Mix<br />
<br />
Cilantro Bunch<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Garnish:<br />
<br />
Green Onions sliced<br />
<br />
Shredded cheese<br />
<br />
Chopped cilantro<br />
<br />
Tortilla Chips<br />
<br />
Sour Cream<br />
<br />
Avocado<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Cook chicken in the chicken broth. (add more water to cover the chicken). De-bone the chicken.<br />
<br />
Add chicken back to that broth and also add the potato, onions, carrots, garlic, bay leaves, celery and cook until tender. Add salt and hot sauce to taste.<br />

Stir in taco seasoning, black beans and cilantro.<br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I am doing the Weight Watcher plan, but I am also keeping it low on carbs, low on fat, and high in protein and fiber.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">It is very simple and it is also about portion control. I usually eat about 3-4 ounces of protein per meal. I eat every 3 hours and drink plenty of water.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">I usually BBQ some chicken on Sundays and I have that everyday for lunch with either a salad or tomatoes. For dinner, I have fish with some veggies. My snacks are usually fruit.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">So as you see, it is pretty easy. I experiment with different spices, so I won't get bored. This is healthy and totally a lifestyle change. I love everything I eat!!!</span><br />

Sure there are special occasions, but when those days come, then watch your portion and don't undo what you worked so hard to achieve.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">If you put garbage in your mouth, eventually it may show up on that scale. Limit the junk, because sometimes if you just sacrifice for a few months, it will put you in the right frame of mind. Once you are in right frame of mind, then you will have more power to control your portion size.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">There are times that you eat so healthy and the scale just sits there and does not move....don't worry about it....be persistent and it will eventually drop!</span><br />

So it has been a little over 3 years since I have written in this blog of mine! THAT is a long time lol<br />

When I started this blog I weighed 170, and the last weigh in here was 157. Today I weigh 145.6.....not too shabby! I am 11.4 lbs lighter!!!!<br />
<br />
We have a group that gets together about every 2 weeks for a weigh in on Wednesdays. That get together has helped me get my act together and continue this journey to goal weight!!! I also attend Weight Watcher at Work classes. I WILL DO THIS!<br />
