Its all in the Pictures!!


I know that I look much better than when I started, but when I look at a picture, I realize that I have a long way to still go!!! I don't want to be comfortable where I am at...I want to fight to finally attain the goals that I have set for myself. No time for slackers....

Home Sweet Home!!!


Hi there,
I just got back from the Bahamas yesterday. I had a great time and I am back to reality!!

Today's Numbers
Starting Weight: 170 lbs
Last Weigh In: 156.2
Today's Weigh In: 155.5
Weight Loss During Vacation: .7 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 14.5 lbs
Goal Weight: 135 lbs

I didn't lose what I set out to do, but I am still proud for that .7 lb weight loss. I did exercise when I could, but there were many days, where there was no way to go out for a walk. The fish was mainly fried so that did not help any. I ate everything and just watched my portion size. Considering all the damage that could have been done, I am quite happy lol.

Tonight I will have to go do some grocery and do some walking.
Breakfast:
2 WW cakes = 2 points
Snack
Doritos = 1 point
Lunch
Salad = 5 points
WW Cake = 1 point

So Far = 9 points

Dinner
Veggie Patty = 2 points
Lite Bread = 1 point

Total = 19 points
Food today was not the healthiest, but everything will be back to normal after I do some grocery.

Next goal = 149 lbs!!!!!!! LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!

Setting a Goal and I am OFF!!!!


I am going to set up a goal that may be hard to achieve. My goal is to weigh in on Monday, June 28 at 149. I know it's vacation and I do not have control over my food, because I will be on someone else's boat....but I am gonna give it a shot! Don't they say..."shoot for the moon and you may hit a star"? lol why not!!!! I will have to use alot of NO Thank You's!!! haha

3 Little Words


NO THANK YOU.

Simple isn't it? NO THANK YOU. Say it and mean it! NO THANK YOU! Sometimes that is all it takes...NO THANK YOU. If you don't use those 3 little words, then you will never be commited to losing weight. I'm not saying that you have to use them all the time, because if you journal, you should know what you can and cannot eat. I am saying, that when you start your journey, try using these words often, until you feel like you are in control!!! Your body will love you for it!.

Weigh In and Weekend Update

It defintely was not easy staying on track!

I had a little of everything, but all under control. I was well aware of my portions!! There was such a good breakfast buffet. Under normal circumstances, I would have eaten so much more!

Why is it that sometimes all people can do is worry about their next meal? Herman was totally out of control and he paid for it with a 5 pound weight gain.

Luckily we got home early on Sunday and we were able to walk for an hour and bike ride for 45 minutes. I think he was going to exercise all day today, because he felt so guilty about losing control and being back at 252. lol I don't think all that eating was worth it!
Food is so good, but being fat sucks. Moderation is the name of the game!!!
So I jumped on the scale this morning and was down .3 lbs. It's better than nothing, so I will take it!!! I could have done more exercise during the weekend, but I was lazy to wake up and hit the gym...I have to work on that!! Being lazy gets you nowhere!

It's My Decision


I leave on Friday morning to Tampa and will not return until Sunday. I have to decide how I will handle food this weekend. Do I want to maintain? Do I want to lose weight? Do I want a Freedom vacation? My decision is that I want to lose weight. I want to get on the scale on Monday and see some sort of weight loss. It definitely is not easy to eat out and stay on plan, but if I am determined, then I will find the way to do this.

I must stick to grilled meats and salads and I will not have any desserts other than fruits. While everyone is eating like pigs, I will be eating healthy and come Monday, I WILL BE HAPPY!!

This is MY Decision, what will you be deciding to do when you are out on vacation?

Stress Eating?



Is there such a thing?

I do feel stress right now in my life, but I think because I am in that "zone", I am doing the opposite, by not eating. I couldn't eat dinner last night and I wasn't even hungry. I know that if I don't eat, I won't lose weight, so I will have to stick to plan and eat no matter what!! I have to eat to keep the metabolism going.




If you are wondering why I am stressed, it's because Herman still does not have a job. When we go for walks, all his negativity and reality comes out and it burns a hole in my stomach. He talks for one complete hour of all the bad ramifications if he does not work lol lol it drives me crazy lol So I take deep breaths, I look out to the ocean, I wish upon stars and I try to stay calm and optimistic. I continually remind myself that my life is in God's hands and He has the plans to my life. I must continue to have faith. I WILL NOT allow stress to alter who I am!!!!

Not too shabby huh? lol It was great staying on program this weekend and I got to put in alot of exercise also. It was so hot and muggy, but the walks were great!!

I have to put in 4 good days of eating and exercising before we leave to the waterpark this weekend. I am still trying to get to 154 before Friday!!!

Excuses are for Losers


So the weekend time is among us again! No excuses will be tolerated for not doing well!


My game plan:
Saturday
Wake up early and do an hour walk.
Watch my portion size at the in-laws's anniversary lunch.
Walk another hour at the end of the day.
Sunday
Wake up early and do an hour walk.
Have a healthy lunch before going to the Dance show.
Walk another hour at the end of the day.

I have 7 days before we leave to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. I must be absolutely perfect until then, because it will be a little harder to stick to a plan once I am away from home. BUT, I WILL be prepared and eat correctly while I am away. No EXCUSES!!

Breakfast
One Egg white with cheese and salsa = 2 points
OJ = 2 points
Snack
Strawberries = 1 point
Fruit Dip = 1 point
Lunch
Flatout Bread = 1 point
Turkey Ham = 1 point

Tanning the Belly


Sorry I missed writing yesterday's blog, but I spent the day taking my mom to her doctor's appointments.
It's time to bring out my super white belly and introduce it to the sun. It's another one of them mental things, where you look thinner when the belly is tanned and since you are showing it, you tend to work harder to make the muscles stronger.

I really need to get on my mat on a daily basis and do quite a few sets of sit ups. If I start now, I am sure it will make a difference for when we go to the water park.

Let's see if I can do at least 10 minutes a day. No reason why I shouldn't be able to do it!!

Weigh In and Weekend Update

Last Weeks Weigh In: 159.1
Today's Weight: 158
Weight Loss This Week: 1.1 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 12 lbs
Goal Weight: 135

Considering that I have been partying since Friday, I guess a one pound loss is not so bad. I really did good over the weekend though. I ate a little of everything, but all under control. I even managed to do some walking and some dancing. I plan on doing really good this week, so that I have an awesome weigh in for next week!!

I have 10 days to lose 4 pounds to achieve my next goal of 154!!!! Gotta work hard to achieve it!
