Lovely Friday!!!

Lunch with friends, weekend get togethers, Sunday birthday party and healthy eating... Yes, this combination is possible if you decide to follow through with your plan. These obstacles will always be thrown at us, if we plan to socialize, but if we stay focused to our goals, we can win the Battle of the Bulge. I will stay within my points and I will still have some good food and still have a great time with everyone. I will also do my daily exercise, NO MATTER WHAT!!

Yesterday, I made this deeeelicious burrito, that was low in points and very filling. Take a one point Flatbread and add some reduced fat sour cream, then add some salad that already has some vinaigrette on it. Add Hormel Turkey Chili on top with a little bit of shredded cheese. Roll up and eat!!! Best Burrito in town for 4 points!!

Breakfast
Fiber Plus Bar = 2 points
Lunch
2 Slices of Pizza = 12 points
Salad = 4 points
Dinner
Salad = 3 points

Total = 21 points

Will you be choosing to have a healthy weekend?

ONE BITE AT A TIME, ONE DECISION AT A TIME!!! (I read this on Jen, A PriorFatGirl's blog. She has an awesome blog!)

Have a great weekend!

Happy Lobster Day!

Yesterday was the first day of Lobster Mini Season. Here in the Keys, THAT is a special occasion. Since Herman caught some lobsters, I made some Lobster Enchilada with shrimp and crab. We had it over rice with some cuban bread and tostones. It was absolutely delicious.

I did stay on plan, but it was not easy lol. Sometimes when it truly is a special occasion, we have to allow ourselves to enjoy the food with moderation. Lobsters do not happen daily, so this was special. I must admit, I could have eaten double or triple what I ate, but I controlled myself and stuck to the plan.

I did not get to walk outside last night, so I put on the Walking dvd's of Leslie Sansone and walked for about 50 minutes.

Today, I will be turning in my Audi TT =( The lease is over. It definitely was nice while it lasted and if you ever get the chance to splurge like that, a little convertible is definitely the way to go!!

Second Wind

I'm at the point now, where I feel alot better in how I look, but I still have at least 10 more pounds to go. This is where I normally screw it up, by feeling comfortable and just letting it go. NOT THIS TIME! I will continue doing what I am supposed to do...eating healthy and moving more. I will continue doing Weight Watchers and slowly get to my goal weight. I will SUCCEED!

I didn't eat much yesterday and spent the evening sleeping. Today, I feel better, but I am still a little weak. I will try to walk tonight if possible.

Sickie Poo

I guess there must have been a bug going around at the party. I started feeling bad last night and then this morning it was worse. After taking Imodium, I slept until I was doing a little better. I then went to work, but then I started getting fever. It sucks to be sick.

I have drank alot of water and had some grapes and string cheese, but that is it. I do not have any appetite.

Let's see how the rest of the day goes.

We did an hour walk last night, but there will be no movement tonight. I plan on vegetating on the couch amd hopefully, this is just a 24 hour bug.

Weigh In and Weekend Update

Here are today's numbers:
Starting Weight: 170 lbs
Last Weigh In: 147.4 lbs
Today's Weigh In: 144.8 lbs
Weight Loss This Week: 2.6 lbs
Total Weight Loss:: 25.2 lbs
Goal Weight: 135

On Saturday morning, I weighed in at 144.8, for a total weight loss of 7.7 lbs from the diet. It is not tons of weight, but considering that I was already on a strict diet and getting close to my goal weight, I think it's great!!

Herman lost a total of 23 pounds on the diet, and has now lost 47 lbs in total.

Overall, this So Called Hell Diet was awesome. It is something you just do temporarily. If you need to shed some pounds quickly, this diet does the trick. Weight Watchers is still my choice for losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle.

You would think that after the diet, I would have been dying to eat so many things, but that did not happen. I woke up and had oatmeal. I wanted to see if I finally would like it. I prepared it with milk and ate about half of it. Unfortunately, I still don't like it. I had a whole mango cut up to eat that morning and I just ate half of it, because I was feeling already full.

Saturday morning, we got up at 7am and did our hour ski-walk to get ready for the big engagement party for Sandy and Jeff. Afterwards, we did about 30 minutes of landscaping.

In the afternoon, Julito came by and was hanging out and then invited us to eat pizza at the Big Chill. We had a Mariners pizza with lobster, shrimp and clams. I had half a slice and it was fabulous!!! It did not have alot of cheese on it.
We had time before the party, so we went out and did another hour of ski-walking.

The party was absolutely beautiful and the food was yummy!!! I tasted a little bit of everything, drank plenty of water, socialized and did alot of walking around at the party. I did not feel deprived of anything.

There is Nancy and Guayabo, tasting all the yummy food at the party.

And here is my beautiful family...

On Sunday morning, we woke up early, and started cleaning up the house. We went to the movies in the afternoon, and then went walking for about an hour and a half.
It was a GREAT weekend!!!

So today, it is back to Weight Watchers and back to reality lol

Day 13 - The Last and Final day of the so called Hell Diet

We have Tropical Storm Bonnie coming in, so when I got home yesterday, I cooked the chicken and we ate. Afterwards, we took the boat to my other house, where it is safer for the boat. Then we walked home, and walked for an hour.

I had two moments yesterday that I had to catch myself lol. I was cutting up mangoes for my mom and I was so close to putting a piece in my mouth lol It is torture smelling the mangoes!

Later on, I was making Ambrosia and I almost licked the spoon. I talked myself out of it, when the spoon was an inch from my mouth hahaha ohhhhh the sacrifice!

Day 12 was complete and successful.

Day 13 is a repetition of day of day 6. For breakfast, we had black coffee. For lunch, we get a quarter chicken with lemon and green salad. For dinner, 2 boiled eggs and a cup of grated carrots. And that my friends would be the END of the 13 day diet.

I will get a final weigh in tomorrow morning,

I don't really want to do this diet again right now, but Herman is all gung-ho about doing it again, beginning on Sunday. Let's see what I do lol.

It is weekend time and party time, I must now make sure that I still have control to be careful on what happens in the food department this weekend. Are you choosing to have a controlled weekend?

I will post again on Monday, cuz weekends are way too busy with fun!!

Day 12 of the so called Hell Diet

My next goal to shoot for is 139. omg, imagine that lol. My sister-in-law, Yoli, said "all you have to do is sacrifice yourself for 3 months and you will see huge results", and she was right. Losing weight has to mean everything to you!!

When I got home yesterday, we both were very hungry, so I set the table and brought out all the fruits and yogurt. It is funny how your stomach shrinks, because by the time that I had 4 slices of watermelon, I felt bloated and full. The fruits tasted so sweet!!!!

We ski-walked for an hour yesterday.

Day 11 was complete and successful.

Day 12 is a repetition of day 5. For breakfast, we had black coffee, boiled carrots and 5 slices of ham. For Lunch, we had 2 fish filets, boiled carrots and one tomato. For dinner, we will have one large piece of grilled chicken. I think this lunch has got to be the best lunch of all. The fish was amazing. I seasoned the tilapia with Badia's Complete Seasoning on one side and jerk curry on the other side.....talk about gooooood!

Herman has lost 20 pounds as of this morning. He has also been running 4 miles in the morning. Yesterday, he tried on pants and almost nothing fit him. Salvation Army will be receiving about 30 pairs of pants!! At first, Herman wanted me to put the pants in another closet, just in case. So, I said "just in case of what?????" lol I explained to him, how important it was to get rid of old clothes, so that in his mind, he knows that he will never, ever, ever, fit in them again! I got him to agree, thank God lol

He is so psyched about losing weight, that after he has Saturday with normal eating, he wants to do another 2 weeks of the Hell Diet. I am thinking about it and I just may do it, just to see him lose alot more weight. He has lost 44 pounds in total.

I am looking forward to my ski-walking later on today!! I am hooked lol

Day 11 of the so called Hell Diet

When I got home after work, we ate our dinner, which was absolutely delicious.
We had a 2 egg omelet with 5 slices of ham and a salad. As we were eating, Herman screamed that he forgot to eat his orange from lunch lol --- too bad lol. Afterwards, we got out our ski poles, I put on my 2 pound weight belt and off we went to walk for an hour. We are super loving walking with the poles and if you haven't tried it, go out and get them, because you will love it!!
Day 10 was complete and successful!!

Day 11
is a repetition of day 4. For breakfast, we had our black coffee and a piece of toast. For lunch, we have one boiled egg, grated carrots and 7 slices of ham. For dinner, we have a fruit salad and the non-fat yogurt.

This diet is winding down, and I can honestly say that, for me, this was not so bad. Herman thinks its been rough at times, but overall, he did not hate it. I just hope that he will be able to control his eating after the 13th day. Let us pray for that!!

Herman has dropped 19 pounds after 10 days!!! I have the Biggest Loser living with me lol...amazing!!!

Have I told you how much better I feel about EVERYTHING lately lol !!!

Day 10 of the so called Hell Diet

When I got home after work, Herman was ready to cave in, because he was so hungry. I had to motivate him and feed him quickly lol Once he ate he calmed down a little, but he still needed some black coffee.

Then, we had a good hour walk. We Nordic ski walked last night ! That means that we held ski poles in our hands as we walked. We burned more calories and it also made us pick up the pace!! We loved it!

Herman was still hungry. I asked him if he wanted to give up and be on the list of people that were too weak to handle it? Obviously, Herman is competitive, so he buckled down and kept busy on the computer and drank lots of water and went to bed early lol lol Day 9 was complete and successful!!

Day 10 is a repetition of day 3. Black Coffee and toast for Breakfast, salad with celery, tomato and asparagus and an orange for Lunch, and then a 2 egg omelet with 5 slices of ham and green salad for Dinner. My taste buds are so happy when anything touches them!!! hahaha

Herman has dropped another pound, so his total so far is 17 pounds.

So lets talk about some non-related scale benefits of weight loss.

1) My knees have been doing much better!!!!

2) When I was standing up, after sitting for a real long time, I felt like an old lady trying to get some strength before actually walking. I am not doing that anymore!!!

3) I WANT to eat healthy forever.

4) I WANT to really get into exercise, so that my whole body will feel younger again.

5) When I wear clothes, I am looking so much nicer.

6) I feel revived and happier with myself.

7) I know that I will be having a fun time with Sandy's wedding plans. I am looking forward to buying my dress and NOT being the FAT mother of the bride lol

8) I am so happy that Herman and I are setting a good example for Nancy and Sandy.

9) I am gonna be a cute grandmother some day =)

10) I set my mind on something and I am accomplishing it. If I can do this, then I can do anything!!!

Eating less and moving more are NOT sacrifices. It feels good and this is the way that life will be from now on!!

Weigh In and Day 9 of the so called Hell Diet

Here are today's numbers:
Starting Weight: 170 lbs
Last Weigh In: 152.2 lbs
Today's Weigh In: 147.4 lbs
Weight Loss this Week: 4.8 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 22.6 lbs
Goal Weight: 135

I still have 5 more days of this diet and then it's back to the Weight Watcher plan. It's funny how this eating is a diet and Weight Watchers is a plan. WW is a lifestyle change and it is NORMAL eating. I miss it and I am looking forward to it!!

Day 9
is a repetition of day 2. Black coffee for breakfast, steak and green salad for lunch and then 7 slices of ham and yogurt for dinner.

It is amazing how your body addapts to this diet. Both Herman and I are enjoying the meals and looking forward to eating the next one. Neither of us complains about the food or the hunger. I guess you can say that we both are totally committed to this. This diet is for the strong and everyone else can go home lol.

Herman has lost 16 pounds as of yesterday!!! Can you believe that?

We will be walking for an hour tonight and then I need to start working on some crafts that I need to make.

Day 8 of the so called Hell Diet

Day 8 - The whole week begins new again, so today was day one again. Our breakfast was the ever popular black coffee. The aroma was fabulous!! Lunch was 3 boiled eggs, stir fry of zuchini, squash, mushrooms, onions, asparagus, green pepper and red pepper and a plate of tomato with balsamic vinegar with salt and pepper. It was amazing how filling this lunch was!! Dinner was a piece of grilled chicken.

Today, we woke up at 7am and did the groceries. Then off to Kmart to buy red mulch. We spent 2 hours landscaping. Then we came home, and went out for an hour walk. After, we had a very very filling lunch, so we took a nap. Then we went back to Kmart for some more mulch and then did 2.5 hours more of landscaping. We were going to walk another hour, but we called it a day. We were exhausted lol. Day 8 was complete and successful.

After I showered for the night, I went in my closet and started trying on clothes. I got rid of some clothes that are too big and found alot of clothes that now fit me!!!

Tomorrow is weigh in day!!!

Day 7 of the so called Hell Diet

My smart hubby went jogging 4 miles yesterday, while I was at work and when I got home, he was ready to pass out!!! So I had to start cooking immediately and we had 2 boiled eggs and a cup of grated carrots. The carrots were much better today!! I reminded him that he cannot do strenuous exercise like jogging until after this diet.

After dinner, we worked on the yard for an hour and then walked one hour. I just got the Leslie Sansone Walk Your Way Thin dvd, so I decided to try it out last night. It's a 2 mile walk with some exercise and it was really good! Day 6 was complete and successful!!

Herman's underwear have gotten so loose on him that I had to go and buy new ones. He used to wear a size 44 and now his size is 36-38. wow!!!!!

Day 7 - The morning started out with a delicious cup of black coffee lol Did you notice how hunger makes you love things you really hate hahahaha. Then we went out for an hour walk. After we did about 30 minutes of yard work.

I had a baby shower to go to, so I had to eat my lunch before I left. For lunch we had a large piece of chicken and one orange. It was good and very filling!!!

The baby shower was a test of my commitment. There were bubble gums on the tables, which I almost forgot and came close to putting it in my mouth lol. There was so much good food and cake, but my commitment was so much stronger. The weight loss is really showing, because I got a lot of compliments!!!

By the time the party was over, it was 6 pm. I was starving. I had to drop off my cousins and then head home. We were eating dinner by 8 pm. Our dinner was amazing tonight. We had an omelet with 5 slices of ham and a huge green salad with balsamic vinegar.

After that, I put my walking shorts and we headed out for another walk of one hour!!!

Herman has dropped 13 pounds in 6 days and his blood sugar was 118....can you believe it!!!!

Day 6 of the so called Hell Diet

Once again, after work, we did another hour of landscaping and sweated like pigs. I try to stop always by 7pm, because by that time, Herman is almost passing out from hunger and weakness lol . For dinner we had a large piece of grilled chicken. It wasn't much, but it was satisfying. We ate out on the terrace and savored every little bite.

I had to clean more chicken to put a quarter chicken with no skin on the grill for tomorrow's lunch. While the chicken cooked, I cleaned up a bunch of chicken to put in the freezer. By the time it was done, it was 9:15pm. Herman tried to get out of the walking by saying that a storm was coming, and that he was still hungry and weak, but we all know that those are EXCUSES. Doing exercise was not an option. So we got out and walked for an hour. Herman was glad we did it. Day 5 was complete and successful!!

Yesterday was another anniversary day, because it has been 38 years that Herman and I have been together. Yes, it would have been nice to go out to celebrate these anniversaries, but this year, I have enjoyed eating at our beautiful house and sticking to our exercise. We will definitely be staying focused and determined. Nothing will stop us now!!!

In case you are wondering how much weight I have lost, today I got on the scale and saw a 3 pound weight loss in 5 days. Considering that I really don't have alot of weight to lose and that I was already eating properly, 3 pounds is alot!!! I would love to drop another 5 pounds before this is over!!

Day 6 - Today's breakfast was black coffee only. The coffee is tasting better now lol I love the smell of the coffee in the morning!

Lunch was so so gooooood!!! I had a skinless quarter chicken with lemon and a big green salad with salt, pepper and red wine vinegar. It definitely hit the spot.

For dinner, I will be having 2 boiled eggs and a cup of grated carrots. Those grated carrots are the only thing that I have hated on this diet. I loved the cook carrots, but raw with no dressing, sucks!!! I will have to drink alot of water to push them carrots down lol

I will landscape again, walk after work and probably do some house cleaning.

This diet is not sucking at all!!! (repeat, repeat, repeat, till I believe lol)

I will be posting tomorrow!

Day 5 of the so called Hell Diet

Yesterday, after work, I got home and we worked on the yard once again for another hour. It is amazing how much you sweat when you work on landscaping. Herman felt a little weak, so I prepared our Anniversary dinner of a fruit salad and a nonfat yogurt and lots of water. We took our dinner up on the roof top, we prepared the table and it was better than any fancy shmancy restaurant! Our fruit salad had watermelon, canteloupe, strawberries, blueberries, grapes and cherries. The yogurt was coconut flavored. Everything was SO GOOD and filling!! There was a wonderful breeze and as much as we wanted to stay relaxing, it was time to do our hour walk.

We started walking, and after about 1 mile, my stomach started telling me that I better head back home and go to the bathroom. We picked up speed and deviated from our regular route. As I was almost home, I did NOT make it hahahahaha...yes, you are reading correctly...I crapped in my pants lol I went inside, showered up quickly, threw the clothes in the washer and headed out to finish the walk lol lol Day 4 was complete and successful!

Day 5 - I had black coffee, one cup of boiled carrots seasoned with Complete Seasoning and 5 slices of thin ham. Biggest breakfast so far!!

Lunch was huge and awesome!!! I had 2 Tilapia fillets, one cup of boiled carrots and one tomato. I can't even explain to you how good it was. That was ALOT of food. I AM SO HAPPY =) LOL

For dinner, I will be grilling a large piece of chicken and eating it very, very, very slowly with alot of water. I think we will have another roof top dinner, because today is our 38th anniversary since we have been together!!! 38 years....wow!!! I will also have to grill a quarter chicken with no skin for tomorrow's lunch.

Herman has dropped 11 pounds so far. He is amazed how easy this is!!

I feel great and I am not craving anything. I am curious to see my weight loss!!!!

Day 4 of the Hell Diet (or is it Heavenly)

Yesterday, after work, I got home and we worked on the yard for an hour. I was melting from the heat. I got a little weak, so it was time for dinner. I prepared a nice green salad with red wine vinegar and then made a 2 egg omelet with 5 slices of thin ham. Set a pretty table with a tall glass of ice water..... mmmmmm mmmmm good dinner!!! Afterwards, we went walking for an hour. Day 3 was complete and successful!!!

Day 4 - I had black coffee and a toast for breakfast. The black coffee is really starting to taste better now. Each bite of the toast was totally heavenly. It is amazing how slowly you can actually eat hahaha

I had 7 slices of thin, cooked ham, one boiled egg and 3 grated carrots. I cut up the egg in 4 pieces and added salt and pepper. I arranged it on a plate with the 7 pieces of ham on the side. I had the grated carrots in a side container. A little bite of egg, a little bite of ham and a fork full of carrots...not too bad. I am not a big raw carrot lover unless it is dipped in dressing, but when you are really hungry, carrot taste better than before. I really had to force the carrots, because when you first put carrot in your mouth, it's kinda yucky, but when it gets mixed in with the food, it's alright lol. please note that I said alright. The water fills in all the empty holes in your belly lol

When I get home, we will do another hour of landscaping and then walk for an hour.

Today is our 32nd Wedding Anniversary!! So to make it romantic, I will set the table up on the roof top, with candles. We will be having a fruit salad and a cup of nonfat yogurt. I have watermelon, canteloupe, cherries, grapes, and pineapple. The yogurt I bought is coconut flavored. I have cute dessert plates for the yogurt and a nice bowl for the fruits. I am looking forward to eating tonight!!! oh and lets not forget, that glass filled with ice and yummy Key Largo water!!!

Herman has lost 10 pounds after completing 3 days of this diet. He is SO motivated and is hoping for a 20 pound weight loss by the end. Most importantly, he has taken his blood sugar again and it was at 154!!!! That is the lowest it has ever been!!! His total weight loss of 34 pounds is doing his body good! I am so excited for him. He is saving his life!!! His underwear don't even fit him anymore lol I told him to throw them away after he wears them and we would invest in a new size to hold his jewels lol lol

I have lost enough weight already to have everyone at work start telling me how noticeable the weight loss is. I can now wear clothes that are fitting me properly, the ones that I had bought from before, that were just hanging in the closet, waiting for me to lose weight. I have to go through my closet and get rid of anything that is already big on me!! I LOVE TO DO THAT!!! lol I have to do like Sandy and her jeans, that she will NOT buy anything bigger than what she already has!!! I want PERMANENT changes!!!!

Unless you have been overweight, I cannot explain how good all this weight loss feels. Eating healthy has to be a part of my lifestyle because I never, ever want to lose this feeling!!!

Mind over Matter!!!

That is Herman and I in the Bahamas dancing the night away!!! Notice the shirt how wet it was. That is because we walked over 3 hours also!!! Even when you are on vacation, you must stay focused on the goal!!! =)

When I got home last night, Herman was really hungry, so we decided to eat before our hour walk. We had 7 thin slices of ham and one cup of nonfat yogurt. It wasn't much, but omg, it was so good!!! It is amazing how sensitive the taste buds are when you are truly hungry!

Herman jumped on the scale today and in 2 days, he has lost 6 pounds. He is excited!!!

Day 3 - Today for breakfast we got to have a slice of toast with our black coffee. That piece of bread tasted heavenly lol. For lunch, I prepared a green salad with tomatoes, celery and cilantro. I will have some grilled asparagus over the salad. I also get to have an orange and lots of water!

If you are wondering if I am hungry, yes, a little, but not as much as I thought. Every time I get hunger pangs, I sip on water or I entertain my mind on something else. There are people that go without food for days, so eating this cannot be so hard. Of course, I am still missing all of my little snacks, but this is temporary!!! Soon I will go back to my wonderful Weight Watchers!

I am really excited about dinner, hahaha. We get to have a 2 egg omelet with 5 slices of ham in it and a nice, big green salad. Sounds great, right???!!!

Well, so far, so good!!!

Weigh In and Weekend Update

Here are today's numbers:
Starting Weight: 170 lbs
Last Weigh In: 153.2 lbs
Today's Weigh In: 152.2 lbs
Weight Loss this Week: 1 lb
Total Weight Loss: 17.8 lbs
Goal Weight: 135

Not too shabby, huh!! I am officially half way there!!! woohooooooooooooo!!!

Are you wondering what Plan B is? lol Well, I have cousins that have lost alot of weight with a 13 day diet plan, and I just couldn't resist. It doesn't look that hard and can you imagine losing alot of weight in 2 weeks. Robert has lost 17 pounds on it and Ivett has lost 10 pounds so far. So what the hell, lets give it a try. Herman is doing it with me also.

Day 1 was yesterday. First we walked for 1 hour. For breakfast you get to have Black coffee. That is it hahaha I made 2 cups of coffee in the morning and we sat out on the terrace and sipped the black liquid lol. I really do not like black coffee, but I forced it down. We held out till about 1:00 to have lunch. Lunch was fabulous!!! We had 3 eggs, a stir fry of mushrooms, onions, zuchini and yellow squash and tomatoes with vinegar. I swear, this was really good and I would definitely eat this on a regular day. We went Kayaking afterwards with the doggies and then we rode bike for 45 minutes and then we relaxed in the Jacuzzi until our stomachs said "FEED ME".
I grilled a fillet of chicken for each of us and a grilled steak for tomorrow's lunch. I prepared the table outside and placed the piece of chicken on a plate. We both sat down and started cracking up, looking at this lonely piece of chicken lol. We decided to eat it VERY slowly and chew the food many times. Each time we did this, we would start laughing like a bunch of crazy fools lol The only other thing to fill up our bellies was water. Beleive it or not, we were not starving and felt very content. Day 1 - A Success!!!

Today is Day 2. When we woke up in the morning, Herman took his blood sugar and it was at 168!!!! I know that is still high, but that is the LOWEST he has ever had it in ages!!! AND that was without medication!! He will be monitoring that to see if that is a real reading. I got to work and had some black coffee. For lunch, I heated up my grilled steak and put some vinegar on my green salad. OMG, it was delicious. It is amazing how much better food taste when you are starving lol lol I am drinking lots of water and I am doing OK!! I plan on walking for 1 hour when I get home, and do a little landscaping. For Dinner, I will have 7 slices of thin ham and some non-fat flavored or unflavored yogurt. I am not wild about yogurt, but maybe today it will taste like a nice, big piece of coconut cake...I can always dream!!! lol

This diet is not Hell as I expected, but it's not heaven either!! hahaha

Lookout Weekend, Here I Come!!!

Tomorrow I have an all day party in Miami Beach! A day of fun and sun on the beach! A day where there will be food and drinks everywhere. A day where I will need to be focused and determined!!

My plans are to have a good breakfast and bring healthy snacks and water. I will also try to walk the beach for a while and do some swimming. I will wake up early and get an hour of walking before I go. I should be fine if I stick to my plan!!

I see 149 in my near future, and it is going to take alot of perseverence!

I love Water!

Luckily, I love to drink Water!!! When I get to work, the first thing I do, is fill my Bubba Keg with ice and water and then I fill my big mug with more ice and water. Water is great for you and you definitely need to drink it if you want to lose any weight. It is great for your skin and when you are feeling hungry, you should drink some water and you will see that all of sudden, you are kinda full. Water is free from the tap!!

Do you drink 8 glasses of water a day? Maybe it is time to set that as a goal!

No Deprivations Here!

One of the reasons that I do not feel deprived is because I eat these Weight Watchers Cakes. They are only one point and they are heavenly!! I am definitely a dessert person, so for one point, these little goodies hit the right spot!

Even though I love desserts, I have to be very careful not to eat too many points worth of desserts. It is more nutritious to eat fresh fruits then to eat junk. There are so many good fruits! Right now, I have cut up strawberries, pineapples, grapes and mango in my refrigerator. I love them all! Nothing like some cold fruit on a hot day!

So if you are feeling deprived just because you are trying to eat healthier, then you need to look for the right stuff at the grocery so that you do not feel that way. When you are deprived, you will not stick to any plan, long term. Remember, this is a lifestyle change and not just a diet!

Weigh In and Weekend Update

Today's Numbers:
Starting Weight: 170 lbs
Last Weigh In: 155.5 lbs
Today's Weigh in: 153.2 lbs
Weight Loss This Week: 2.3 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 16.8 lbs
Goal Weight: 135 lbs

Isn't that awesome considering that this was 4th of July weekend!!!!

The sacrifices are paying off and I don't even feel deprived. I love what I eat. I plan what I eat and I wake up early to get my exercise in. Time permitting, I even walk in the evening. I am so proud of myself!!

I definitely see my temporary goal of 149....and I see it next week. I need to stay focused this week, continue eating right and be religious about my exercise. There is alot of crap not going right in my life right now, but having this part of my nutrition being in control makes everything be ok and makes me think that we need to just roll with the punches and trust in the Lord to provide whatever we need.

Life is good today =)

Never Ever Quit

It is always easier to quit. Do you want to be happy? Do you want to look in the mirror and be happy with your reflection? Are you worth the fight? Are you worth the sacrifice? If you are worth it, then you NEVER QUIT. If you have one bad meal, then the next meal should be better. No more procrastinations!!! I have been dieting ALL MY FREAKING LIFE and I am tired of it. I am tired of quitting. When you quit, you never reach your goal. No matter what happens, I will not quit, because come this Christmas, I WILL LOOK AND FEEL GREAT!!!!

Are you going to fight to make your dreams come true or will New Years come around and you are making the same old resolution of losing weight? YOU must choose.

It's a long weekend ahead of us and we must be stronger than usual to pull through. Yes, it is a sacrifice, but think how happy we will be, when we see a good weigh in on Monday!!!

Freedom

I was reading another blog and she was talking about how we achieve Freedom from food. Just like our forefathers had to fight for the freedoms that we have today, we must fight for our freedom from food. When we are out of control, we are slaves to food. It rules us. It stops us from being who we truly are. It stops us from wearing certain things and it stops us from acting the way we really want to be. Can you imagine being at goal weight and being FREE?

Free to eat healthy and free to feel good and free to be ME!

Independence day is on the 4th of July, but Independence day from food, began the day I started this blog. I will fight for my freedom until I totally achieve it....will you?
