The Kitchen is Closed!!!

Some habits are hard to break, but if you want to succeed in your weight loss journey then there is NO CHOICE but to stop them. My bad habit was the bits of munching that would occur after dinner. I would watch tv or be on the computer and of course, the kitchen is in the vicinity, so maybe I would eat a little cookie, or popcorn, or just whatever I could find. NO MORE!!!!

When I finish dinner and I clean up the kitchen, I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and floss. Once I am done in the bathroom, there is no way, I will eat again, because then I would have to brush and floss again. I also make sure that I continue to drink water, so that I don't get that empty tummy feeling.

Doing this has helped me be more in control in the food department. If this method is not good for you then maybe a scheduled snack of 2 points could at least help you not to pick on everything in the kitchen. We need to find what works, because my husband, Herman, goes to the kitchen at least every hour to eat something, so I have to deal with that. He eats and I drink water lol.

Do you have any bad habits that you need to be changing?

Breakfast
Lite Egg McMuffin = 5 points
Lite Tropicana OJ = 1 point
Snack
Grapes and String Cheese = 2 points
Lunch
Sandwich with Bagel Thin, Turkey ham, Lite Provolone, Tomato and Mustard = 3 points
Chips = 2 points
WW chocolate Cake = 1 point
Snack
Grapes and String Cheese = 2 points

So far 16 points.

For dinner today, I will have a big salad with the Wishbone Spritzer Asian Silk Dressing, Zero point soup that I made, a veggie patty and a tangerine.

sea ya!

  2. My bad habit...is losing control when it comes to finals. Unfortunately, finals isn't one week of studying (like normal people).

For midterms, tests were dragged out for 5 weeks, and now it's 2.5 weeks. I lose all control :( we go out to eat cuz no one does groceries, and we snack the entire night. I've put back all my weight and it depresses me! I wish I didn't have to make it an excuse (especially cuz Im gonna have to study for Boards for like 3 months!) ahhhh!!

anyways...I PROMISE to myself...and everyone reading this (lol). Starting Monday...ur gonna see a new and improved SANDY!

  3. Nancy, you will see that when you are organized, everything seems to be alot easier. Its overwhelming when you know you have so many different things to do. One step at a time and you will be surprised at all the great changes that you can make in your life.

Sandy, When you eat healthy and take time to exercise a little, the mind works better. It's like a machine that needs good fuel and maintenance. Find good things to snack on and take the time to do the groceries. A home cooked meal does wonders for the belly! Continue weighing yourself daily, so that you do not gain too much. It's hard to study, but soon you will be out of this era in your life.
Drink lots of water and good luck on all your tests!!!

    xoxo
